New education materials are collected for MOOC "Introduction to Arctic Environment" by SibFU scientists after the Arctic expedition

SibFU scientists have collected valuable data on resource potential, biological and cultural diversity of the Russian Arctic after the expedition. The information will be eventually used in the MOOC in the form of video-lectures, interviews, useful texts and photo galleries.

The 1st SUNRAISE conference - the call is open!

The call for papers of the 1st SUNRAISE open science conference in Gorno-Altaisk, Russia is open! The topic is Transboundary Regions under the Global Change - challenges and development trajectories. A conference will explore a diversity of challenges transborder regions are facing under the global environmental and socio-economic change. This includes such issues as natural resource and environmental management and governance, ethnic and cultural dynamics, geopolitical contexts and so on. The conference will seek to frame these issues and to put them in a perspective in order to identify development trajectories for transborder regions. A particular focus of the conference is on mountain and Arctic regions. The conference celebrates the 70th anniversary of Gorno-Altaisk State University and the 55th anniversary of the Branch of Russian Geographical Society in the Altai Republic. Summer School on Urban and Mountain Ecosystems was successfully completed at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS)

The Summer school was held on July 07-21, 2019 within the framework of Erasmus+ Projects. It was organized by the University of Salzburg in cooperation with SUNRAISE, the Society for Urban Ecology (SURE) and Austrian and international partners: Ore of the Alps UNESCO Global Geopark and National park Berchtesgaden.
