SibFU research team arranged expedition to Ergaki Natural Park (Krasnoyarsk Territory, Russia) in June 2019 to explore mountain ecosystems.

A joint seminar of Erasmus + CBHE projects (SUNRAISE – Sustainable Natural Resource Use in Arctic and high Mountainous Areas and INTENSE – Integrated Doctoral Program for Environmental Policy, Management and Technology) on ICT tools and methods for curriculum development was held in Estonian University of Life Sciences (Tartu, Estonia) on May 20-24, 2019.

SibFU School of Ecology and Geography joined the Collaborative Platform in order to support sustainable development of Altai-Sayan ecoregion.

On February 26, 2019, a round table "Enhancing the effectiveness of preparing specialists in the sphere of sustainable use of natural resources in the Altai Republic" was held in Gorno-Altaisk State University. The meeting gathered the representatives of regional protected areas (Katunskiy & Altaiskiy Biosphere Reserves, Sailygemskiy National Park), the Directorate for Protected Areas of the Altai Republic, NGO “Altai-Sayan Mountain Partnership”, Siberian Federal University, administration and faculty of Gorno-Altaisk State University. 

SFU Academician Council was established on February 21, 2019 in its School of Ecology and Geography primarily to organize the productive collaboration with the potential employers - leading companies in the field of ecology, rational environment and land use.
