Within the framework of the contest for projects related to applied R&D carried out by MSc and PhD students to ensure sustainable development of the Arctic and the Far North, Nikita Yakimov, 1^st year PhD student of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management of the SFU School of Ecology and Geography (PhD supervisor – Prof. Irina Bezkorovainaia) received grant of Regional Scientific Foundation to work on research called “Long-term severe fires consequences exertion in cryolithic zone of Siberia based on satellite monitoring data”.
