The ACT! webinar series opened with the lecture on SDGs and ESG – objectives and instruments for greening economic development of Russia by Dr. Evgeny Shvarts

The SUNRAISE ACT! webinar series received a great opening on September 07, 2021 with the lecture “Sustainable Development Goals and ESG – objectives and instruments for greening economic development of Russia”  by Dr. Evgeny Shvarts, Head of the Centre for Responsible Natural Resource Use of the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Evgeny Shvarts is also a Russian biologist, geographer and ecologist, independent non-executive director - member of the Boards of Directors of UC RUSAL and PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel, Doctor of Geography, Honored Ecologist of the Russian Federation (2018), Leading Researcher at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Member of the Council of the Center for Wildlife Conservation (Biodiversity Conservation Center, BCC).

 

He shared his insights with ESG developments in Russia and in the world and connected them with national and international SDG ambitions. The insights were truly in-depth and inspiring, given the lecturer's experience with the highest policy and corporate floors in Russia, and his broad international outlook.
